Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
Preparing our pupils for their future
At Our Lady’s Catholic High School, we are committed to ensuring that every pupil is prepared for life beyond school and is able to make informed and ambitious decisions about their future.
Our careers programme begins in Year 7 and develops progressively through to Year 11. Pupils are given opportunities to discover different careers, meet employers and education providers, experience the workplace, develop employability skills and receive the information and personal guidance they need to make successful transitions to their next stage.
We recognise that every pupil’s journey is different. Our careers provision aims to raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes and ensure that pupils understand the full range of pathways available to them, including further education, apprenticeships, technical education, training and employment.
