Year 10: Textiles Visit
The year 10 (GCSE textiles) class went to visit a local textiles manufacturer last week to see a working factory first-hand.
Pupils were able to walk around all of the machinery and told what each worker’s job involved so they could see the whole process (from start to finish) of a successful textiles company.
Edward Taylor Textiles are a successful business that print and make sportswear for large retailers such as Kukri and New Balance. The knowledge pupils gained will help them immensely when preparing for exams, where manufacturing is a key area of understanding needed.
