Leyland Trucks Visit
On the 18th Oct pupils from OLCHS studying GCSE Design and Technology took part in a visit to Leyland Trucks Ltd. We were proud to be invited back to Leyland Trucks as the first school since the global pandemic. Pupils enjoyed learning about apprenticeship opportunities and the many job roles within the company, before having a tour of the assembly facilities. The pupils learnt about continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, Just In Time manufacturing and 6 sigma methodology whilst on the visit.
