School Therapy Dog

After half-term, we will begin training a cockapoo puppy as our school therapy dog. Dogs have been scientifically proven to improve health (both physical and mental), to develop responsibility in children and to provide love and companionship. For the first 8 weeks the puppy will be acclimatising to the school environment and undergoing extensive training. This training will continue during the summer holidays, before he starts working with pupils in lessons and in Learning Support in September 2018. This will initially be on a trial basis. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Carmel Waszczuk.
